Saime Higson: Lilia Kopylodova

Saime is a partially sighted actress represented by VisABLE People who exclusively manage actors with disabilities.

She has a BA in English and Drama as well as an MA specialising in the rhetoric of literature and performance.

She has played a variety of roles many raising awareness of important social issues including domestic violence, sexual harassment at work and terminal illness in teenagers.

Saime has over 15 years experience in both stage, film and professional murder mystery events. In addition, alongside being Creative Director of Bravo, Saime has appeared in four of the company’s past productions: “Twelfth Night”, “Verdict” (Bravo’s last production before the COVID-19 pandemic struck), “All That Glitters” and “Dangerous Sequins of Events” (she wrote and co-directed the latter two).

Saime uses her disability to open the eyes of audiences to try and help prove that “we are just like everyone else, which includes performing to speak for an often overlooked minority of actors and actresses.”
